# Canada’s national payments systems continue to run safely and soundly

March 26, 2020

Despite the evolving nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, you can be assured that Canada’s national payments systems are operating normally.

Like many organizations across our country and around the world, Payments Canada, the provider of [Canada’s national payments systems](https://www.payments.ca/about-us/what-we-do), is actively monitoring and implementing precautionary steps in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Our priorities are the health and wellbeing of our employees, and the safe and secure operations of our systems.

We remain at the service of our members and stakeholders. Please contact us as you normally would. It may take a little longer than usual, but be assured that we will assist you.

Payments Canada has robust business continuity practices in place and is well prepared to continue to act—in coordination with our financial institution members, regulators and other key stakeholder partners — to ensure payments flow within Canada.
