# Payments Canada releases 2022 to 2026 Corporate Plan

*In this five-year period, we are operating new and enhanced systems.*

Payments Canada’s [2022 to 2026 Corporate Plan, *Accelerate and Enhance*](/sites/default/files/2022-08/paymentscanada_corporateplan_2022_en.pdf), communicates our strategy and progress-to-date on realizing our vision of a thoroughly modernized payment infrastructure that will benefit all Canadians.

Building off of the previous plan, the 2022 to 2026 planning period represents a time of transition as we deliver the Modernization program objectives set out in the [*2016 Vision for the Canadian Payment Ecosystem*](/sites/default/files/2022-08/PaymentsCanada_2016VisionForCanadianPaymentsEcosystem_En.pdf). Three long-term strategic objectives guide Payments Canada into the 2022 to 2026 planning period:

- **Deliver** projects that modernize the Canadian payment systems.
- **Operate** and enhance current systems.
- **Facilitate** the payment ecosystem.
