As Chief Risk Officer at Payments Canada, Peter Dodic’s leadership focuses on embedding effective enterprise-wide risk management across Payments Canada. Peter leads the Risk Management, Security, Legal, Compliance and Internal Audit functions. In his role, Peter protects our critical national payment systems and our organization from top and emerging risks, and ensures that operations are managed within our risk appetite.

Prior to his time at Payments Canada, Peter held several leadership positions at BMO Financial Group. As Managing Director, Operational Risk Management, Peter was accountable for the methodology, reporting, governance and capital management supporting a sound Operational Risk Management Framework across the enterprise. Prior to this role, Peter led BMO's Enterprise Business Continuity Management team, in addition to working in Corporate Areas Finance and Corporate Development. Prior to his time in banking, Peter worked as an engineer in the resource sector.

Peter is a Chartered Professional Accountant in Ontario, he holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of British Columbia and an MBA from McMaster University.
