Member update
As of December 2025, Payments Canada has 111 members from across Canada.
A full list of member organizations is available on our participant directory page. Payments Canada would like to recognize the following organizations that have become members over the past few years:

Payments Canada membership includes the Bank of Canada, domestic banks and authorized foreign banks, life insurance companies, securities dealers, money market mutual funds and other deposit taking institutions. Amendments to the Canadian Payments Act in 2025 further expanded membership eligibility to include payment service providers as defined in the Retail Payment Activities Act, credit union locals that are members of a central, and clearing houses and systems designated under the Payment Clearing and Settlement Act. These additions reflect a growing and increasingly diverse membership, strengthening competition and innovation for the benefit of Canadian consumers and businesses.
