New peak volume day for the Large Value Transfer System

On July 2, 2015, the Large Value Transfer System (LVTS) settled 56,553 payments, which is a new peak volume for a single day.
This represents an increase of 6.3% compared to the previous peak day, on July 2, 2013.
Peak volume days for the year typically take place on the first business day after the July 1 Canada Day holiday because it is the end of the fiscal year for many organizations and normal end-of-month transactions must be processed after the holiday.
