Payments Canada welcomes new and returning Stakeholder Advisory Council members
Payments Canada welcomes three new and three returning members to its Stakeholder Advisory Council (SAC).
SAC provides advice and counsel to Payments Canada’s leadership, employees and Board of Directors on key elements of the future of payments. The terms of the appointments took effect on April 1, 2026 and were reviewed and approved by the Payments Canada Board of Directors in consultation with the Minister of Finance.
New members:
- Heather Lamont, SVP Customer Experience and Co-Founder, Tuhk Inc.
- Alfredo Lanzillotta, Principal Solutions Consultant, OpenText
- Emily Seng Yue, VP, Performance and Innovation, Canada Life
Returning members:
- Jordan Grant, Vice President Sales, Temenos
- Ryan McLeod, Executive Director, Treasury Operations, Government of Alberta
- Kathleen Woodard, MD, Banking Industry, Microsoft
Payments Canada’s stakeholders are organizations who rely on its payment systems but don’t participate in them directly. Members of the Stakeholder Advisory Council represent a wide array of experience, expertise and industries, including retail, consumer groups, government, fintech, technology, telecommunications, software and banking. Payments Canada would like to thank its outgoing council members for their many contributions. We would also like to thank all of this year’s applicants for their interest.

Meet the new members
Emily Seng Yue, VP, Performance and Innovation, Canada Life
In her role, Emily Seng Yue leads the innovation mandate, which includes analyzing future trends and understanding industry implications to shape the organization's vision for interacting with payments. Her work ensures Canada Life provides best-in-class service and experiences to its customers.
Alfredo Lanzillotta, Principal Solutions Consultant, OpenText
Bringing 20 years of experience, Alfredo Lanzillotta specializes in guiding financial institutions and corporate clients through the complexities of payment modernization. His daily work focuses heavily on ISO 20022, Swift and the Real-Time Rail (RTR), allowing him to successfully bridge the gap between technical mandates and business strategies.
Heather Lamont, SVP Customer Experience and Co-Founder, Tuhk Inc.
With a 25-year career spanning Financial Services, IDTech, FinTech and Cyber Security, Heather Lamont has held senior leadership roles at major global brands including Mastercard (Ethoca), BMO, American Express and Bank of America. She has a proven track record of navigating evolving regulatory frameworks and technological advancements, including direct leadership in the successful rollout of EMV chip technology, digital wallets and biometric solutions.
