Deana Djurdjevic appointed Payments Canada Chief of Staff to support strategic delivery

Payments Canada is pleased to announce the appointment of Deana Djurdjevic as Chief of Staff, effective May 25, 2026.

In this role, Deana serves as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to the President and CEO and Payments Canada’s executive leadership team. She will play a key role in accelerating the organization’s long-term vision, ensuring that complex initiatives are translated into clear, actionable outcomes. Her appointment strengthens Payments Canada’s ability to deliver secure, word-class payments that underpin the productivity, safety and global competitiveness of the Canadian economy.

Deana brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in financial services and regulatory sectors, driving large-scale transformation, enterprise performance, and operational excellence. Most recently, she served as Chief Operations Officer and Chief Administrative Officer at the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC), where she led the development and operationalization of OSC’s strategy and delivered significant digital transformation initiatives. Her extensive leadership background also includes senior roles at TMX Group and the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA).
