As CLPO, Lisa leads Payments Canada’s legal, corporate secretariat, compliance, Bank of Canada affairs, privacy,  policy and rules teams. By integrating robust oversight with agile policy and rules development, she supports the safety and competitiveness of Canada’s financial infrastructure.  

Previously at Dentons and RBC, Lisa has navigated complex regulatory reforms, including the Retail Payments Activities Act, Retail Payment Activities Act, Consumer-Driven Banking Act and anti-money laundering reforms. Her experience transcends both legal and business roles in financial services and a broad spectrum of products and services, including business account, cash management, credit, digital, and payments services and systems, as well as emerging payment solutions involving the use of blockchain/distributed ledger technology and digital currencies.
