Payments Canada announces Bruce Schneier, renowned cyber-security technologist, as the latest keynote speaker at Canada’s largest payments conference

Top tier speaker roster complemented by exclusive networking and exhibitor experiences, including the SiriusXM connected car

OTTAWA, May 6, 2019 - The roster of high-profile speakers at The Payments Canada SUMMIT continues to grow with the addition of Bruce Schneier, Chief Technology Officer, IBM Resilient and Special Advisor, IBM Security. As an internationally renowned security technologist, author and security expert, Bruce will discuss Internet of Things security during his keynote talk, What does security look like in a world where everything could be a computer?, on the first day of The SUMMIT.

The SUMMIT provides an opportunity for the payments industry to connect and understand the future-state of payments and technology, where Canada fits in the global ecosystem, and how the modernization transformation will impact us as a nation, as an industry and as individuals.

Exclusive networking experiences with The SUMMIT Social and Networking app

The SUMMIT Social offers a casual social event and networking experience following the close of the Main Stage on May 15. The event will feature live music by The St. Royals and other festivities.

The latest information on the speakers, attendees and exhibitions at The SUMMIT will be available using The Payments Canada SUMMIT app. Conference attendees can also participate in an exclusive networking opportunity using the Networking feature in The SUMMIT app. This feature allows attendees to select a topic and they will be paired with a subject matter expert for a 15-minute meeting.
