Payments Canada welcomes new and returning Member Advisory Council (MAC) members
Payments Canada is pleased to announce one new and six returning member organizations to its Member Advisory Council (MAC), effective July 1, 2026.
New MAC member organization:

- Bank of America — Leslie Konecny, Head of Product for Global Transaction Services (GTS), Canada
- BMO — Rebecca Tascona, Chief Operating Officer, Canadian Personal & Business Banking
- Central 1 — Barclay Hancock, Chief Payments Officer
- CIBC — Michael Liberty, VP, Global Money Operations
- JP Morgan — Dougal Middleton, Managing Director, Head of Payments & Treasury Services, Canada
- Peoples Trust — Michael Coney, VP, Wholesale Payments
Representing the diversity of Payments Canada’s system participants, MAC plays a vital role in advising our Board of Directors. As set out in legislation, its mandate is to provide counsel and advice to the Payments Canada board on our clearing and settlement systems, the interaction of those systems with other systems involved in the exchange, clearing or settlement of payments and the development of new technologies.
